Synopsis:

Raised amidst the ruins of domestic violence, Ji-tae and Hye-hwa struggle to avoid becoming monsters themselves. But the world, layered with wounds and despair, gradually drives them toward destruction.

Ji-tae is a detective pursuing the whereabouts of a missing child named Yoon. At the center of the case stands Hye-hwa, whom Ji-tae interrogates relentlessly. Despite her tragic past and ongoing torment, Hye-hwa claims innocence and tries desperately to avoid confronting the truth behind Yoon’s disappearance.

As time passes, the buried pasts of both Ji-tae and Hye-hwa come to light, pulling them together while simultaneously setting them at odds in a twisted way. Their past traumas distort their present realities, and even those who once sought to critique the world begin to see monsters forming within themselves.

Yoon’s disappearance reveals more than just a crime — it unearths a tragedy not born of individual fault, but of parents who turned away from their children's pain and a society that stood by.
